The HIE Impact Test Laboratory caters
for a range of testing requirements in research, standards
development, litigation support, and product or component
evaluation.
Our HIE laboratory is equipped to carry out
tests such as pendulum impacts, head form testing, vest
testing, helmet testing, drop tests, vehicle
accelerations and
sulky and sulky wheel tests. Please do

Harness Racing Equipment testing
HIE conducts body protector approval and
surveillance testing for the
Australian Harness Racing Council
to the EN13158/BETA (2009) Standard. We also test to ARB
Standard Issue 1 (1998), SATRA M6 (1999), and ASTM F1937
(2004) for product research and development purposes.
HIE is also the only lab in Australia which
is equipped to test and certify Sulky Wheels and Sulkies to meet the standards as set by the AHRC. If you require
